We all know that people in the industry of news media would fight tooth-and-nail in order to get the freshest and spiciest news out there and with now, during the term of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, being all the successful drug raids. So it comes as a surprise after the government-owned People’s Television Network (PTV) reports that a broadcaster was arrested for possession of illegal drugs.

It was Tarlac police provincial director, Senior Superintendent Ritchie Posadas himself who identified the broadcaster of local Tarlac radio station dzTC and manila radio station dzRH, the 56-year old Evangelino Dizon also known as Jing Dizon.

He was in possession of sachets of drugs, five of them contained alleged shabu while the other 12 of them contained alleged marijuana leaves. There were also bullet cartridges of a .38 caliber gun and a piece of .22 caliber cartridge, all of which was searched for and seized through a search warrant that the Tarlac Regional Trial Court branch 64 provided to arm the joint operation of provincial investigation branch, Tarlac Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 3 (PDEA3).

Sadly for Dizon, he cannot make a story about how brutal the police were handling him and his arrest for the joint operation was accompanied by representatives of the Department of Justice, barangay officials and the media.

The Tarlac Police identified high value target level 2 personality would be,

“...taken to Tarlac police investigation branch for further investigation,” Posadas stated.
On PTV’s Facebook post, a couple of netizens had their say on the issue.

Dondonakar Baterna pointed out that,
“The hunter becomes the hunted..tagapagbalita ngaun xa ang laman ng balita..”

Eh Di Son Yee, on the other hand, expressed his disappointment by stating,

“Damn it... this drug menace comes from any walks of the society.. hell, it might even go as high as the former president Panot..

The President needs to activate an auxilliary group to reinforce the ongoing drive against illegal drugs... and continue reward system for high level drug dealers and druglords

We can even ask the interpol or international law enforcement to go after Druglords living outside the philippines except from countries that has no treaty with us.. and thats the sad part”
