We can say that Mariz Cruz timed her Facebook post well as she blatantly requested the “all expert snipers” to assassinate President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Cruz was asking the public if anyone was willing to snipe Duterte out of existence, posting an image of him with a cross-hair target on his head. An incredibly insensitive act towards the recently assassinated Tanauan Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili.

Another netizen Crisostomo Ibarra rebuked Cruz by posting his sentiments on Facebook that goes as,

“Mariz Cruz – you committed an offense punishable under Revised Penal Code.

The president is entitled of respect at some degree. A president is no ordinary person and if your on the other side of political fence? This is not covered under your freedom.”

And with that followed a long list of comments from netizens all over the Philippines, disappointed at such an attempt as it is disrespect to both the President and the late Mayor. They argued that despite using a fake account, the woman is still trackable through the IP address that she used.

It is an incredible turn of events, as this post has insinuated the anger of both Duterte and non-Duterte supporters, even people from the Church are praying for the President’s safety.

As of now, we can only hope to find this disrespectful woman who’s threats to the life of the President is one that must be dealt with full force of the law.
