The ongoing manual recount for the vice presidential bid has, in so far, resulted to less votes for current Vice President Leni Robredo by 5,000.

After the recount of 210 clustered precincts in Camarines Sur, Robredo’s 263,473 lead over former Senator Bongbong Marcos has been reduced to 258,000.

There will be more than 5,800 clustered precincts from Camarines, Iloilo, and Negros Oriental that will be revised for the recount.

These ballot boxes that are subject to recount were discovered to have no audit logs that indicated the time when precincts opened, results were transmitted, and when the voting started and ended.

An insider from the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) claims that “it’s still a long way to go but the figures as they are coming out, may already be considered substantial recovery or change in the results of the elections. It is definitely favorable to former Senator Marcos.”

Marcos paid for the recount in 36,465 precincts and sought for the results to be annulled in 2,756 precincts.
