Bro. Eddie Villanueva’s desperation: Using non-existent Bible quotes to derail the government!

We do not know if Brother Eddie Villanueva is underestimating how dedicated the Filipino people are to the Church but in a recent interview with Karen Davila, he quoted Bible verses that never existed in order to condemn the esteemed President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his anti-Church sentiments.

Facebook Page Netijourn made sure that Villanueva wouldn’t get away with his crimes against his faith as it reveals that those Bible verses are nothing but a fabrication.

Villanueva quoted “Zechariah” Chapter 22, a chapter that does not exist for the book of Zachariah ends at the 14th chapter.

He then mocked the President with a verse from Proverbs, he stated that,

“I really pity the president in a way, because in Proverbs 21 verse 1, when a man remains stiff neck, after several rebukes, suddenly, he will be destroyed without remedy.”

But the page debunks that the real Proverbs Chapter 21 Verse 1 states that,

“The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whitersoever he will.”

With this being said Bro. Eddie is a shameful representation as a preacher of the Christian faith, he either clearly forgotten about the church’s teachings or he is manipulating the public through religion in order to go against the President.

In a Facebook post defending his “mistakes” or rather incapability to comprehend the Bible properly, Villanueva stated that he was referring to Ezekiel Chapter 22 and it was an honest mistake.

Netizens, on the other hand, were not convinced, stating that the Villanueva should sticked to religion since the church and the state should never coincide.

Reaffirming what the netizens of Facebook have to say, Merck Miranda commented that,

“We cannot serve two master at the same time brother.,wag kana pumasok sa politica, God called you to preach and win soul, not to do political matters,sa kanila yan. Pray for this country instead and Trust the Lord your God that he is in control of everything that is happening to the country,. first of all before the election happened, we all ask God to give us a president that would fix this country. well, he gave us digong.. this is all the will of God for this country to be shaken before it will be fix”

While Mario Ighot  commented,

“That shows that youre human....leave those things to God...just bless our President...God chooses people with weaknesses and flaws...including you and me...pls dont be judgemental be pharisaical...Bless and do not curse....youre a priest ...duterte is a king....for a reason ...for a season...”
