As the title states, the government will do nothing about the viral tarpaulins around Metro Manila in which the Philippines was dubbed a “Province of China”. They’d rather accept it since it is the clear work of the government’s enemies.

But despite what the enemies of the government itself is expressing and stating, the Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque countered this and stated that,

"We assure the public on the second year anniversary that we will continue to assert what is ours while we move on with our bilateral relations with China."

He also states that they have no idea on who specifically did such a thing other than it is a government enemy. He then challenged them to come up with something better than it.

"It's absurd. I'm sure it's the enemies of the government that's behind it. So to them, try again. You need a better gimmick than that," he relayed to the press.

As of the relevance of the banner to the government, Roque stated that the masses may find it more useful since it bears no significance to them.

"Wala po kaming gagawin. Pero I'm sure may mga taong nais kunin 'yung tarp para gamitin siguro pamunas ng sahig or something... o ilalagay sa kubeta,"Roque pointed out.

As of the dispute on sovereignty on the islands of the South China Sea, the spokesman only assured the people that it will take years to resolve since the Philippines was not part of the arbitral ruling that China won two years ago.
