Upon the cross examination that the prosecution of the Plunder case against Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. committed, whistle blower Maria Sula reveals to the Sandiganbayan First Division that Revilla is indeed innocent.

According to Sula, the Senator never received money from the multi-billion peso Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or more commonly known as the “pork barrel scam”.

She also revealed that whistle blower Benhur Luy forged the signature of the imprisoned Senator which verifies that the signed documents that ties Revilla to the scam is indeed fake.

Sadly, as Sula’s revelation goes, it was the prosecution that ordered Luy to forge the documents that served as evidence to incarcerate Revilla.

“Si Benhur, siya yung mahusay pumira ng lawmakers at siya yung nakikita kong pumipirma para sa lawmakers. Wala pong alam si Senator Revilla sa paggawa po ng endorsement letters,” Sula stated.

Revilla, on the other hand, continues to deny receiving P225-million from the “pork barrel scam mastermind” Janet Lim Napoles. According to him, he always sees Napoles but never talks to her about money.

Attorney Ramon Esguerra, Revilla’s lawyer stated that,

“I still believe that he is innocent and the burden, as we always say, is not on us to prove that he is innocent. The burden is on the prosecution.”

This statement by Esguerra is supported by Sula’s stand that Justice Geraldine Faith Econg reaffirmed.

“I can say with certainty that Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. did not receive any money or kickbacks from the NGOs (Non-Government Offices),” Sula reaffirmed Justice Econg.
