Stark differences: The humble president and the socialite VP

Veteran journalist and other prolific social media activists were quick to point out the stark difference between the lifestyles of President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leni Robredo as evidently seen in the sports they watch and the seats they avail.

In the fight between Senator Manny Pacquiao and Lucas Matthysse, Duterte was seen lounging around with his son and the Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad, but nowhere near the VIP seats.

Instead, the two officials were enjoying the whole fight from afar, where the seats are obviously cheaper. On top of that, Duterte never had to pull out a single cent for the match as the Prime Minister paid for his seat.

On the other hand, Vice President Leni Robredo and her daughters availed what seemed to be ringside or box seats with the best view of the NBA Playoff between Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers which was revealed to cost up to $6,000 per seat.

Jay Sonza and Mark Lopez were quick to notice these differences, with Lopez publishing the different rates of the seats during Playoffs, all of which costs more than P34,000 per seat.

Sonza noted how different the lifestyle of the two officials were. One of them just genuinely showing character and the other who projects a socialite wannabe image.

Sonza’s full post on Facebook reads:

Isang nagpapakatotooo at isang nagpapakasosyal.
